SRS: T-60 hours
3 days / 60 hours!!!!!! That's nothing! 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
I have pretty much prepared for everything at home. I haven't packed anything yet and I realised I need to do one more trip to the grocery store as the oat milk I use won't survive additional 2 weeks in the fridge. Or even if it does, I wouldn't drink it anymore. Especially as I have opened it a week ago already. But, I have food in the fridge and freezer, I bought the ring pillow, I did laundry etc. Basically everything so that I don't necessarily need to do chores or go to grocery store right after getting back home.
I have one big problem though. What kind of clothes I should pack with me? The letter said that "Comfy clothes to get home in". Considering everything, that rules out pants as all I have are slim fit, so, either dress or skirt. That dictates either pantyhose or leggings, and as I'm sensitive to cold and Helsinki is especially hard during this season as cold and moist wind will blow from the baltic sea. Situation in Tampere isn't much better either, the city being sandwiched between two lakes. Little bit but not much. Top is much easier though, I can just grab a zipper hoodie on top of my usual clothing, under winter jacket. Which might be bit too much but in this case I rather feel little warm than little cold. I hope that pantyhose aren't squeezing too much and grab couple of those, and two leggins. My leggings are super comfy and stretchy though so putting two of those on top of each other is very viable option. Gnaaah, why I have to be like this.
Other, rather small problem is my luggage. I'm pretty sure it will be too heavy after surgery, even if it's relatively light. I'm pretty sure I will get very common lifting restriction of 2 kg. Just my laptop is 1.2 kg, so I will easily get over that. Not much, maybe 3-4 kg in total but those go over the restriction. Fortunately the laptop itself is less than 2 kg, so I can actually move it 😂. And the real problem is train, the one I'm planning to use, has couple of steps, so I need to actually lift the luggage to and from the train. Otherwise it's pretty problem-free, the way to my apartment and the building itself is wheelchair-accessible. Emptying it might be small problem as well, but just getting the laptop away should make it light enough to let me lift it higher. So, thing to take in consideration when I pack it up!
I'm waiting almost impatiently already, which will mean that I might write post or two before the surgery!
'Til next time~ 💜
